It is also recommended for anyone expected to be more at risk of adverse outcomes in the perinatal period (conception, pregnancy, birth & 1 year postpartum ). This applies to Black-bodied, brown, Asian and mixed-heritage women and birthing people; as well as sanctuary seeking and LGBTQIA+ folks.
