WOMB Massage
(Abdominal Therapy)
Abdominal therapy is a hands-on massage that can be found across many cultures around the world; used to restore flow and the optimal position for reproductive and digestive organs.
Getting started
I currently offer womb massage in my cosy studio in Riverside, Cardiff.
To get started please complete Your Health Story form, once received I will be in touch to set a date for your first massage, as well as details to send your £20 booking deposit.
Your first appointment
We will use the first 30 minutes to discuss your health history as disclosed on your intake form. I will also demo the massage for you to practice YAM (Your Abdominal Massage) at home.
The womb massage is performed with you lying on your back. Towels are provided to cover your upper and lower body, leaving just your abdomen exposed. Some people find abdominal massage deeply relaxing and even fall asleep. Others might find it a strange experience at first since culturally we tend to avoid our bellies. I aim to always work in a trauma-informed way, at whatever pace is comfortable for you.
Subsequent appointments.
If you are happy with the therapy and want to continue we will set up a minimum of three more appointments. This is advised for you to see the best results. After the three sessions, we will review and you are welcome to book on a rolling basis.
Please note this massage is not suitable for pregnancy and you should leave at least 3 months postpartum.
Ready to book? Get in touch by email if you have any questions.
About WOMB massage
This lineage of the abdominal therapy was formed by Dr. Rosita Arvigo, a herbalist and Doctor of Naprapathy. She was taught the method during her apprenticeship under Belize sharman Don Elijio and their colleague, fertility expert, and herbal midwife Miss Hortense Robinson.
I have been mentored in the practices of Abdominal Therapy since 2017 and qualified in 2021 to practice. I am the only Abdominal Therapist in Cardiff and one of three in Wales.

Abdominal therapy can be used for reproductive and menstrual cycle ailments such as PCOS, endometriosis and painful periods as well as gut related issues like IBS.
It can be used alongside IVF and to support post-op healing of scar tissues.
This massage supports the optimal position of the reproductive and digestive organs, ensuring better flow and function of the N.A.V.E.L (the Nerves Arteries Veins Energy Lymph).
